COVER PHOTO CONTEST!

The content of the Phenomenal Cover Photo is wide open. We're looking for vertical-format, high-resolution (at least 300-400 dpi at 8 1/2 x 11 inches), vivid and happy images that capture the glory and/or fun of summer in Crested Butte. Surprise and amaze us!

The winning photo will be used as the cover for this summer's Crested Butte Magazine, with a payment of $500. We'll announce the results through local media and publish a mini-profile about the cover photographer on this website and in the magazine. The runner-up photos may also be published in the summer issue, and the photographers will be paid the magazine's standard photo-use fees. (Let me know if you'd like those e-mailed to you.)

The deadline is MARCH 1... SOON!

To submit photos for the contest, please drop off or send a disk with NO MORE THAN 10 IMAGES (jpgs or tifs) to Crested Butte Magazine, 325 Belleview Avenue in Crested Butte, or mailed to P.O. Box 1030, Crested Butte, CO 81224. Please mark your disk 'Crested Butte Magazine Cover Photo Contest' and include your name and contact information.

The photographer is responsible for securing any permission needed (model releases, etc.) before a photo is submitted for possible publication. We're expecting many entries, so we won't be able to consider a disk that contains more than 10 images.
